Professor Rafał Ryguła, dr hab.
He is a biologist who received his MSc from the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, in 2001, and his PhD from Georg August University of Göttingen, Germany, in 2006. From 2008 to 2011, he conducted research at the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Cambridge, UK.
Since 2011, he has been affiliated with the Maj Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where he heads the Laboratory of Affective Cognitive Neuroscience.
His research interests include the interactions between emotion and cognition, the cognitive mechanisms underlying mental disorders and addiction, and, more recently, susceptibility to misinformation and disinformation.
